The STEAMER is a machine that humidifies the upper and reactivates the adhesives spread underneath, preparing the leather for the process of shaping the upper (the upper part of the shoe) onto the last. The PRE-LASTING MACHINE is the machine that allows the upper to be mounted onto the last. The video shows how the lasting process works, specifically for the front part of the shoe. The glue is applied using fixed injectors, mobile nozzles, or a combination of both. This is the first and most important phase on the assembly line, and the operator's experience and expertise are essential.
